I spent over 10 years working in management for a cupcake bakery and an organic vegetable farm before becoming a UX designer.

A lot about UX design actually reminds me of working at the farm! Seeing high levels of turnover, I had prioritized employee retention and looked for ways to improve each new hire’s experience.

A decade of conducting hiring interviews and training new employees also taught me to foresee problems and communicate effectively. I’m driven by learning what frustrates people and finding ways to prevent it.
